WYVERN L2 - A ZK-ROLLUP LAYER TWO SCALING SOLUTION

On the Smart Chain network, Wyvern L2 is a layer two (L2) scaling solution designed specifically for games and other NFT use cases. Wyvern is a supporter of the Smart Chain network's security and decentralization, and he feels that game makers shouldn't have to give up these advantages in order to move to the blockchain.

Instead of creating a loosely coupled or even completely independent sidechain, Wyvern is building an L2 anchored by Smart Chain, which allows it to easily meet the performance requirements of some of the most demanding use cases available on the market without compromising end users' desire to continue using Smart Chain's tried-and-true consensus protocol. The often stated compromise between true usability and completely decentralized security is untrue – Wyvern L2 provides both.

The balance between security and scalability, however, is meaningless if developers can't take use of it. In order to avoid limiting the creativity of creators, Wyvern's developer tools, which include a variety of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Software Development Kits (SDKs), and a Domain Specific Language (DSL), are designed to abstract away the intricacy of creating and utilizing zero-knowledge compatible smart contracts.

To put it simply, this implies that no direct smart contract or network expertise is needed on the side of the developer for any transaction, whether it minting an NFT, establishing a new collection, transferring, or swapping current tokens. Any developer on Wyvern L2 may create, oversee, and communicate with tokenization projects provided they can establish a connection using a REST API.

In order to achieve the aforementioned without compromising the flexibility of use cases, Wyvern's Domain Specific Language (DSL) and tokenization rules engine will be essential components. Box developers are limited in their ability to make important choices about the type of contracts they implement on behalf of the creators themselves by the limitations of current smart contract building tools. Thanks to Wyvern's rules engine and DSL, developers will be able to alter low-level features of their assets without making things harder for users who are less experienced.

DEVELOPER APIS

Wyvern is developing a range of administrative and development tools to protect developers from protocol-level complexities and eventually streamline the blockchain integration process. The tools that are currently on the market are either extremely complicated to use, provide much too little functionality for any meaningful use cases, or both.

The problem with those tools is that they overlook the reality that third-party developers want the smart contracts they use to enable arbitrary sophisticated use cases, even if they may not wish to work with smart contract code on a low level.

In order to do this, Wyvern will create a rules engine that is especially suited for any use cases that developers could find appealing. The supply (e.g., hard cap existence or adjustment based on other on-chain actions), transfer logic (e.g., applicable royalty on transfer, on-chain actions required for a transfer, etc.), metadata (e.g., on-chain implications of metadata, combination or transformation of metadata of different NFTs, etc.), and other aspects will all be customizable with this rules engine. The rules engine will be in charge of condensing and making sense of the developer's needs, after which it will use Cairo to convert those requirements into on-chain contracts.

PLATFORM SDKS

In order to facilitate blockchain development, our high-level Wyvern SDK will come with tools and plugins that support many engines (Unity, Unreal, HTML5). This will enable partners to create and implement their own on-chain asset structure and behavior without having to worry about generating and implementing smart contracts.

UNIVERSAL ORDER BOOK

Wyvern aims to address the order book fragmentation issue by delivering universal order books in addition to providing an NFT scaling solution. Wyvern's global order books will make it possible to satisfy orders placed on one marketplace at another. This further enables customers who use Wyvern's white label NFT marketplace solutions to pursue the goal of personalized user experiences without limiting the exposure of their collections. It also resolves the liquidity and price discoverability challenges of NFT markets.
